About DrWitnesser Ministries’ Amazing Mission for God

About Edward Preach

Hi, my streaming name is Edward Preach! I am known as DrWitnesser. I’m a born-again Christian who uses my previous life experiences in eSports and streaming for a better purpose to evangelize and be a missionary for Jesus Christ. I stream live on Twitch and post videos on YouTube and TikTok. I mostly witness in Fortnite. Sometimes, I will also go into Call of Duty: Warzone, Sea of Thieves, or even Overwatch, Apex Legends, and Valorant to witness.

People know me for my passion and zeal for the Bible and Jesus. Bringing the Gospel to gamers. In this way I can follow Christ’s instructions to spread the Good News, the three angels’ message, and “plant seeds” into a massive missionary field hardly worked and ripe.

Joining random duo or team matches in battle royal games, I ask my teammates if they want to talk about the Bible and Jesus while they play the game together. During the games, I interview my teammates about their views on the afterlife, heaven and hell, and what they know about why Jesus died for them. Through this shared connection of playing the game together, I hope to reach any gamer interested in listening that agrees to talk about it.

I’m not a doctor, teacher, pastor, or priest. Just a layman brother telling people about Jesus and the Bible in online games. Watching all of the current events devastating the world today, I feel even more surely the pressing need to warn others of the signs of the time. Keep strong in the blessed hope of Christ our Savior, who will surely return again.

Religious & Gaming History of Edward Preach

Edward Preach Headshot

Edward Preach is from the state of Ohio, in the United States. He didn’t go to a religious school growing up, just secular public schools. However, he did grow up in a Christian family, which included attending various denominations including Baptist and Catholic churches. He also attended Presbyterian churches and many different online ministries in the search for Biblical truth.

So being from a religious background, and familiar with Scripture, Edward has always believed in God and was baptized in his youth, but he was not baptized and born again in Christ until early in 2020. Then fully repenting, trusting, and living for Christ.

He has been a gamer all his life. He grew up first playing classic Nintendo console games such as Mega Man, Street Fighters, etc. Then also became a hard-core PC gamer, playing a variety of MMORPGs (massively multiplayer online role-playing games) including World of Warcraft, League of Legends, SWTOR, etc. Prior to being born again, he streamed various games, including Super Animal Royale on Twitch.

His Testimony: How Edward Preach Came to Christ

From 2015 into 2018, Edward started going back to church worship on Sunday in person, trying various local churches and different denominations. None of them fulfilled him spiritually or lined up with Biblical truth in various ways. One church was overly political and even broke off from the main Presbyterian denomination. Another one, a Bible Baptist Church, had some odd beliefs about translations. Yet another Presbyterian church, had man-made traditions within the worship services, too reminiscent of the Catholic mass.

He then started watching online sermons and Bible studies on YouTube, and other streaming services. He became particularly interested in Bible prophecy, starting to do deep study for the truth in Revelation. When he thought he found the truth, then in other areas of that denomination, it would have unbiblical views or beliefs.

Then one day in 2019 he prayed in earnest to God. Asking Him to show him His Truth. He wasn’t finding it on his own, and so submitted to God his need for help.

Later that same day Edward was discussing the latest sermons he had watched with his wife, and the conversation turned to what day is the Sabbath and why we go to church on Sunday. She, having remembered vaguely something about it in connection to her art history studies dealing with Roman Cathedrals that Sunday wasn’t the Sabbath, sent him a website link she randomly found online.

Well, it turns out that website link led to Bible information and history about the Sabbath, which led to one YouTube video and Bible study documentary after another… when finally after watching hours and hours of studies and sermons, Edward was led to specific videos with answers that turned out to be by Seventh-Day Adventist preachers. In each video the information we learned, we tested against Scripture, and we could find no fault. Then the rest is history.

How Edward Preach Started Being an eSports Missionary and DrWitnesser

After being born again, Edward gave up gaming completely. He stopped streaming games and playing games just for fun.

He wanted to tell others about the Truth he had learned. He had been watching some videos by Living Waters and Ray Comfort doing street witnessing. So he went out into his local community and tried it. He even witnessed during Halloween to adult trick-or-treaters that walked by his house. But he felt there was a better way he could help…

So he considered all this computer and streaming equipment he still owned, which seemed like a waste just sitting there. Should he sell it or what should he do with it now? Instead, he started streaming Bible studies and Scripture readings. It was work for the Lord, but it wasn’t getting much traction.

“DrWitnesser” then was created. He started going into games, in hopes to teach people about the Bible. He was already familiar with Fortnite and knew how to play, so he started there. Using the game’s ability to randomly match him with teammates, he started online man-on-the-street evangelizing.

DrWitnesser’s Rise

One day while discussing his latest video released with his wife, and that nothing seemed to be taking off still, she recommended posting on TikTok. Skeptical, but willing to try anything to help reach people about God’s message…

This started the amazing and rapid explosion of God blessing his work, the Holy Spirit connecting seekers and opening the door. TikTok videos started getting millions of views and over 9 million likes in total. People started following from everywhere, with almost 140,000 followers on Twitch and almost 330,000 followers on TikTok. His Twitch stream started averaging 300 viewers each stream and peaking out at over 900 viewers while live after just only 5 months. He was blessed with the means to be able to mail out over 250 Steps to Christ books in just a few months.

All of this was amazing! And impossible all on his own. Only God’s help could explain how fast it all happened.

Unfortunately, then came about a trial of faith and testing, by an online trial of public opinion and political correctness.

The Controversy of DrWitnesser’s Ministry

As DrWitnesser’s stream and videos started reaching more people and going viral on TikTok, there started a great debate. Those in support… and those opposed.

DrWitnesser was suspended two times on Twitch, then indefinitely banned from Twitch after struggling with massive amounts of trolls reporting him for any perceived slight or clip they could twist out of context.

Some might argue that this is evidence that it was not God working to reach people after all. Or that they won over God. Otherwise, why did God allow DrWitnesser to get perm banned?

This we can not answer for sure. As only God knows his will. The Bible does say believers will be persecuted and tested. So forging ahead, Edward Preach is determined to keep spreading the Gospel to gamers. Praying and putting God’s will first.

He then switched to streaming on other platforms and posting videos on YouTube. Reaching far and wide still on TikTok.

DrWitnesser Today

Today DrWitnesser is unbanned from Twitch. He is still at it undeterred and determined to spread the Gospel to gamers.

About Witnesser Ministries

37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;

38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

— Matthew 9:35-38 KJV

One of the reasons why Edward started witnessing and keeps on preaching was a deep longing to tell others about Jesus after being born again and baptized. While he had completely stopped recreationally gaming and eSports gaming after being born again, and also now condones gaming as a worldly pursuit. He felt that God was calling him to use his past experience, gaming, and streaming equipment to help reach those who do still game. To try to pull them out of the world and to Christ.

Online gaming provides easy access and a modern mode of communication to reach a massive community. The gaming community was ripe for the message.

He is dedicated to supplying ministry need to those people agreeing to listen, providing literature, resources, community, support, and Bible knowledge. He also uses TikTok and other social media channels to reach the gaming community.

Each day he feels blessed to be able to share the Gospel. Thank you to all those who share their testimonies and support, encouraging him.
